Hi, we’re the Boyles crew or more fondly know as Al and the Gals. We are a military family which means we have to make a house our home  and do it very quickly. We love working together as a family renovating our home. All projects we have are DIY on a budget. There’s a lot of satisfaction in a project knowing we created it ourselves.  Before moving to our current residence, we were faced with the decision on whether or not to stay in the military. I love being a military family, but my husband and I have both dreamed of buying a fixer upper. I thought that would be impossible with how often we move. Alan’s response was “why would it be, let’s just go for it!”  I have found that to be the theme of our remodel. I come up with an idea that some (myself included) might feel to be an impossible design with our limited budget/resources, but Alan makes it possible. It’s amazing to me what Alan can create with my chicken scratch design and a hammer.  Alan and I are so passionate about our DIY home and want to share tutorials on how we do these projects.  We hope you’ll come a long for the ride with us; learn to tear down walls, build new walls, tile, paint, re-purpose, upholster and build furniture.
